Structural Awning Removal

Taylered was engaged to undertake the safe demolition and removal of the existing balcony awning to the Myer façade at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. The works were initiated due to structural degradation identified along the awning structure.

Scope of works included the careful dismantling of cladding and framework, removal of redundant lighting, flashings, and outdated fire pipework, followed by compliant waste removal and disposal. The project required elevated work platforms (EWPs), safety harnesses, and licensed operators to ensure safety across the entire demolition process.

All electrical and fire services were isolated by third parties under coordination by Taylered. The team ensured minimal disruption to centre operations through efficient planning, strict safety adherence, and effective stakeholder communication throughout delivery.
